U.S.S. Olympia in 2005

One of the great things about going on hiatus is that I will be able to share more of my photography. While I am better known as a writer of "provocative" political blog posts, my first love is photography, so over the next few months, as a way of keeping this site live, I will be sharing some of my favorite photographs on a wide number of subjects.

Here are four photos of the U.S.S. Olympia in Philadelphia I took back in 2005.

The USS Olympia one of the most important ships in U.S. -- and Philippine -- history is threatened. It is rotting at its moorings and needs significant work to save her. Just thought you might be interested. More information here:
