Cocktail of the Week: "The Richmonder"

The inspiration for this drink was one of my favorite summer treats: watermelon spiked with bourbon. Today, it occurred to me that it might be more efficient to spike bourbon with watermelon. With a nod to the Manhattan, I present "The Richmonder."

2 1/2 oz. bourbon whiskey
3/4 oz. dry vermouth
1/2 oz. watermelon juice
1 dash Angostura® bitters
2 cubes watermelon

Combine the vermouth, bourbon whiskey, bitters, and watermelon juice with 2 - 3 ice cubes in a mixing glass and stir. Place the watermelon cubes in a martini glass and strain the whiskey mixture into the glass. Enjoy!
