Obama's Ready to Go Rally in Richmond, Virginia

Shannon Taylor, Henrico County Commonwealth's Attorney
I was at yesterday's event in the yellow ticket section to the right and behind the President's podium.  Seated around me were many local Democrats.  They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here's 16,000 words' worth.

This event was a huge success for Obama, pumping up his supporters in Virginia, a key swing state in this year's election.  This rally showed off the Obama campaign's amazing logistical ability--it was pulled together in less than two weeks time, involved thousands of people and went off without a hitch.  It's difficult to imagine Mitt Romney's campaign pulling off a similar event: the Obama's campaign pulled off two in the same day, one in Ohio earlier that day and then the event in Richmond, Virginia.
