The Republican War on Women Expands!

Has the Republican Party gone completely nuts? It has systematically picked a fight with American women in practically every way imaginable. The latest outrage? Congressional Republicans are moving to repeal the Violence Against Women Act! Apparently the Republican Party is now in favor of violence towards women.

What does the Violence Against Women Act do? It provides funding for:
--Community violence prevention programs
--Protections for victims who are evicted from their homes because of events related to domestic violence or stalking
--Funding for victim assistance services, like rape crisis centers and hotlines
--Programs to meet the needs of immigrant women and women of different races or ethnicities
--Programs and services for victims with disabilities
--Legal aid for survivors of violence
In essence, the Republicans want to cut things like funding for Child Protective Services in order to give the super rich more tax cuts they don't need.

I've got to believe that the GOP is going to pay a heavy price at the polls for this kind of extreme anti-women agenda. What will they try to do next? Reinstitute the Jus Primae Noctis?

That would be the VAWA that was, at least in part, found unconstitutional, isn't it?
