DPVA attacks Cantor, uses him for fundraising
Earlier today the Democratic Party of Virginia put out a press release attacking Eric Cantor for his opposition to providing federal hurricane relief to Virginians affected by Hurricane Irene. The DPVA has also been using Cantor in its fundraising efforts.
That is all well and good, but what does the DPVA propose to actually do with the money it raises from people who are angry with Cantor? Will it spend that money to oppose Eric Cantor, or divert the money to other uses?
Talk is cheap. The Democratic Party of Virginia needs to put its money (and that of its donors) where its mouth is. Money raised using Eric Cantor's name should be set aside and earmarked specifically for supporting the Democratic candidate nominated to oppose Eric Cantor.
The DPVA leadership has allowed Eric Cantor to go unchallenged too long. The time has come to change course and stop diverting money raised to fight Eric Cantor to other purposes.
