No Confidence

Speaker of the House John Boehner had to cancel a vote on his own debt ceiling plan because he was unable to muster the votes he needed from his own (supposedly) party. This amounts to a vote of no confidence--Boehner can't govern.

There are effectively three parties in the House now: Republicans, Democrats, and Tea Particans. Republicans and Tea Particans got together and elected Boehner speaker, but really they are two different parties with different beliefs and goals. The Republican Party was foolish to think they would be able to control and use the Tea Party.

So the Republican Party can no longer govern effectively, so what next? If we lived in a country with a parliamentary system then we could call for new elections, but we have to wait more than a year to toss the Tea Party idiots out of office while they do their best to damage our nation.
