Hochul wins NY 26th: The beginning of the end for House Republicans

Almost every Republican held House seat in the U.S. House of Representatives is up for grabs tonight. Kathy Hochul has won the New York 26th House District special election. If a Democrat can win in New York's 26th, they can win almost anywhere.

The key is the Republican Party's vote in favor of the radical Ryan budget that would eliminate Medicare. In 2010, Republicans promised jobs, but all they've delivered is a manifesto aimed at the destruction of Medicare. They are still requiring all Republican candidates for elective office to endorse Ryan's budget/manifesto. But anyone who voted for the Ryan budget is potentially beatable, and all but four House Republicans did vote for Ryan's radical plan.

No way Republicans hold onto the House of Representatives: no way.
