Meet the Republican Party: Art Robinson edition

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Art Robinson is one of the many con artists who populate the Republican Party these days. Robinson runs some kind of "institute" which is basically a front group for global-warming deniers. Robinson lives off the scraps thrown to him by polluters and calls himself a "scientist" despite the fact that what he does has nothing to do with science.

Dr. Art Robinson PhD. (Chemistry) is a remarkable and accomplished scientist, who also has developed a home school curriculum.

It is very difficult for scientists to get elected these days, because they simply refuse to provide a sound bite answer to every complex issue.

Scientists regularly go on record with hypotheses, many of which are later disproved. This does not make them "nuts" it just shows that the scientist was pushing the discussion and research into a new direction. The "scientific method" is indeed built on the premise that many wrong ideas must be examined to reach the truth; with the important core principle being that TRUTH is what is always being pursued.

Art Robinson is a professional scientist, not a professional politician. I would like to see many more scientists and engineers in our Congress, and in locally elected positions.

Here's a much more interesting clip of Art Robinson describing home schooling his children after his wife passed away.

Is Art Robinson really a remarkable scientist and not a politician?

He also holds a number of nutty theories.
