McDonnell's "bargain" with Northop Grumman

Virginia Republicans are doing a victory dance over the "bargain" Bob McDonnell struck with Northrop Grumman to bring its corporate headquarters to Virginia. Not so fast. The details of McDonnell's deal with Northrop Grumman are coming to light and isn't pretty.

Some bargain. This comment from the Richmond Times Dispatch's article pretty much says it all:

Make that $12 million on top of the $150 million he gave them for not doing the job they contracted to do for Virginia. Oh and extend the terms of their failure 3 years.

All it took was a piddly $50k “campaign contribution” to buy McDonnell off.

This is OUR money, not McDonnell’s. Perhaps those of you who voted for him think this is just fine. Frankly, I’m disgusted.
Yep, pretty disgusting. If Northrop Grumman brings another 150 jobs to Virginia, and those jobs have an average income of about $200,000, then it shouldn't take Virginia more than 100 years to get back the freebies it gave to Northrop Grumman.

And this happened at a moment in time when McDonnell is slashing thousands of jobs in Virginia. How many of these "new jobs" in Northern Virginia will actually be filled by Virginians? And how many will be filled with "come heres" that Virginians just paid to have transferred from California?
