McDonnell and Cuccinelli stir a hornets' nest at VCU

Governor Bob McDonnell and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli seem to have accomplished the impossible: they have reunited and renergized the college students at Virginia Commonwealth University.  VCU is one of the largest public universities in Virginia and many of its buildings surround and overlook Virginia's capitol grounds.
A majority of these students share strong interests in two key issues: the affordability of public education and opposition to the kind of discrimination the McDonnell administration would like to institute against LGBT students and faculty at state colleges and universities.
I predict that they will make raucous neighbors for McDonnell and Cuccinelli in the coming years.
