Christmas comes early for Virginia Democrats: Jeff Frederick keeps his job!

Virginia Democrats have a good reason to celebrate today: Delegate Jeff Frederick will be allowed to continue his inept stewardship of the Republican Party of Virginia. Democrats are celebrating online.

Frederick's retention means that the Republican Party of Virginia heads into a key election year disorganized and disunified, one prominent online Republican activist has described the RPV as "broken."

Democrats have their own challenges and the party central committee meets today in Charlotteville to discuss party business, the need for primary elections for all three state-wide offices, and planning for next year's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.

I won't celebrate too much, as there's so much work to do in this state and we can't let out recent successes cause us to take our eyes off of the prize. But I will voice a big thank you to the Republican arty of Virginia for this wonderful Christmas present.
