Re: Reliability and Safety of Kel-Tec’s P-3AT Pistol Design

Dear Mr. Kelgren:

I am writing to make you aware of a shooting accident involving a pistol designed and manufactured by your company. Thankfully, no one was injured in the accident. Some questions have arisen, however, regarding the safety and reliability of your model P-3AT pistol. Let me say this up front: I do not believe that your design is at fault.

Please review the attached article and the articles it links to:

http://richmonddemocrat.blogspot.com/2006/01/is-delegate-jack-reid-telling-truth.html

Is it possible that your P-3AT could have discharged in the way that is described? Could merely pushing the magazine release button trigger or otherwise cause your model P-3AT semi-automatic pistol to fire?

Thanks in advance for your response to this request.

Sincerely,

J.C. Wilmore

Yes, but outrage is all Ben has, you have facts and reasoned arguments. That's what makes them the best.
